Location

The exhibition and conference center as well as the University in the Grindelviertel in Hamburg´s district Rotherbaum are within walking distance. Alternatively you have access to the subway (U-Bahn), rapid transit system (S-Bahn) and several buses. The U2 and U3, with their stops “Christuskirche” und “Schlump”, are almost in front of the door, and the U- and S-Bahn train station “Sternschanze” is nearby.

The chic district “Sternschanze” and the “Karolinenviertel” are within walking distance. There you will find restaurants with a variety of international cuisine. In the “Marktstraße” of the “Karolinenviertel” there are several designers’ shops. When you get tired of shopping you can relax in the famous park “Planten un Blomen” where you will find a botanical garden and also Europe’s biggest Japanese garden. In addition, many nice cafés and bars give you the opportunity to enjoy the rest of the evening with a glass of wine or a refreshing beer.

Only four train stops from our hotel is the harbor of Hamburg and the world-famous Reeperbahn. Experience the River Elbe from a nice trail and bicycle lane or just relax and enjoy the nice view of the passing ships from Hamburg’s beach, the “Elbstrand”. A low-priced bike rental is located in front of our hotel next to the train station “Christuskirche”. Moreover, the famous zoo “Hagenbecks Tierpark” is located only four train stops from our hotel. If you would like to be active during your vacation or your business trip you can take a short walk to Hamburg´s oldest baths, which include a big sauna area. In the summertime you can also enjoy the big outdoor pool. Next to the baths is the fitness center “Kaifu Lodge”. Playing Squash is only one example of the many activities you can try out here. The city center of Hamburg, filled with lots of shopping and sights, is only four train stops from our hotel. The clinical center “Agolepsium” and “Jerusalemklinik” are close-by.
